UK Proof of address query

Dear members,

I have a question I unable to find a solution to. I am posting here in the hope someone else had a similar issue.

- I am EU national
- I am currently studying full-time in the UK
- I have done so for the last 6 years
- I have been registered with a GP for the last 6 years too.
- I have a bank account in the UK that I opened using my UCAS/University letter 6 years ago

All this seems great in order to apply for Permanent Residency, but unfortunately I do not have an official proof of address. I have lived with a friend for 5 years during my undergraduate that did not register me for council tax exemption and have no bills to prove my residency.

Would the GP letter and my full-time status would be enough to prove my residence?

I also have some pay-as-you-go mobile phone invoices and a letter from the consulate certifying my address for the last six years.

Any advice on what I should do? Should I also include my 'unofficial' mobile phone statements and the consulate letter?

What you have should be sufficient.

BUT, if you have been studying for 6 years, have you had CSI (comprehensive sickness insurance) for the full duration that you have been/are a student??

Do you think I should include the pay-as-you-go invoices and the letter from the consulate or they would just add confusion? You reckon the degree certificate along with the GP letter should suffice?

I am not sure what you mean with comprehensive sickness insurance? I was registered with the italian national health and had the card that allows me to get treated all over Europe? After I registered as italian abroad through the consulate, this card is no longer valid, but I am registered with a GP practice through my university. I also have private insurance for when I go abroad, etc.

thank you again for the replies. I've had an EHIC card for a good part of my stay and then a private insurance that covers most conditions. However, there might have been a period where my EHIC was not in place any more (due to my registration to the italians abroad registry) and I did not set up my insurance. Surely I do not have to show comprehensive sickness insurance for the whole time period as a full time student from 2009-now? Or is it enough to show I have CSI since 22 Jun 2015.

If you were a student for the whole qualifying period, you will need to show CSI for that whole time you were a student.

Do anyone know of any cases where full CSI was not requested for the whole qualifying period?
