Query regarding switching Tier 2 ICT long term visa to Tier

Hi All,

Could anyone help me on my below query please.

Currently, I am working in UK on Tier 2 ICT long term visa from May 2012. Now, I got another offer and the employer is ready to sponsor me Tier 2 General visa.
But, I am not sure whether it is possible or not. As I am aware, I have to back to my home country and after serving one year cooling period only I am able to switch.
But, some one is suggesting switching is possible without serving cooling period, but stamping should be done from home country for Tier 2 general visa.

I totally confused. Could anyone advise on me this as I don’t want to take risk ( leaving my current job ) unless until, I don’t have confirmation on this

As I said in your other (identical) thread:

12 month cooling off to switch from T2 ICT to Tier 2 General as your visa was issued after 6 April, 2011. This is incredibly well-covered territory.
