Tier -1 Extension for Dependent

Post by bee4sups » Thu Oct 22, 2015 12:04 pm

Could you please help me out with the below query:

I am eligible for ILR March - 2016. Hence would be submitting the ILR application on March 2016.
My wife owns a tier -1 General (dependent visa) since May 2014 which is valid until March - 2016.
What visa should I apply for my wife? Should I apply for Tier - 1 extension?

If yes, can I submit the application for my and my wife on the same day?

Thank you,
Sud

Should I apply for Tier - 1 extension
Yes, on PBS Dependent form, provided you are applying for ILR based on 5 years residence Tier 1 G and not 10 years long residence.
If yes, can I submit the application for my and my wife on the same day?
Yes, but two separate appointments as it is two different categories. She will also have to pay the health surcharge before applying.
