nationailty question on application for naturislation

Hi experts!

My wife is applying for UK naturislation

She was born in Crimea in 1986

Does she put Soviet Union or Ukraine as her nationality on the form "Application for naturalisation as a British citizen: form AN"

She has a Ukrainian passport & has her ILR visa in it.

Ukraine if she has a Ukraine passport. She can provide a brief explanation in the 'additional information' section is she wishes to.

In my haste I made the error in the question.. I apologise.

The question in fact is whether she puts Soviet Union for place of birth or Ukraine.. I suppose arguably Russia now?

She can write Crimea, USSR and if there is space, write (Now Russian, previously Ukraine). Difficult given the situation in that area at present.
