Tier 2 & ILR

Post by Et1234 » Sat Oct 31, 2015 1:50 pm

Is it correct that in the case of my employer issues a letter to state that they wish to continue employing me and it is an indefinite employment, I am eligible to apply ILR even I have not reached a total of 5 years with my Tier 2 visa??

Thanks
Ed

Not quite.

The earliest you can apply for ILR with a Tier 2 General is 28 days before you've had this visa for 5 years. Tier 2 ICT no longer leads to ILR (if your initial entry clearance was applied for after 6 April 2010).

OP, you still have a long way to go before qualifying for ILR.

Suggest you concentrate on your Tier 2 extension and familiarise yourself with the changes coming into effect in April for Tier 2 General visa holders on the salary requirements.
