Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 general switch, ILR eligibility???

Post by arya123 » Thu Nov 05, 2015 9:31 pm

hi,
I'm currently on Tier 2 ICT work permit living in UK for last 3 years starting 2012.

Current Situation:
my work permit legacy starts from 2008 and it was renewed in 2010 and further it was converted to Tier 2 ICT in 2012( due to the change of immigration rules) and renewed in 2014.
With this legacy Im eligible for settlement when I complete 5 continuous years in 2017.

Question:
Im looking to change job and my new employer is willing to sponsor Tier 2 general visa.
if i switch from ICT to Tier 2 general ..will my settlement clock ( 5 years) will restart? making it to 5 years from 2015 to 2020?

or will i still be eligible to get settlement if i complete my remaining 2 years in 2017?
