UK multiple entry visa can travel to Ireland?

Hi, i have UK visit visa. can i travel to Ireland without getting irish visa?

Northern Ireland, yes

Southern Ireland (Republic of Ireland), no as they are not part of the UK.

If OP falls within the category below, he may well be able to enter the Republic of Ireland with a UK visa.

but i will appreciate the fact that i get an idea of the rules and situation once i put up my question here on the forum. i understand, that the forum is for sharing and not for consultancy perhaps but people like me who know nothing get authentic information here.
