County Court Judgement

Post by james252 » Thu Nov 12, 2015 2:15 pm

Hi,

I am a British citizen and have an African wife who has come over to UK on a marriage visa and is wanting to live here permanently with me.
She has been here 1 and a half years and is due for second application in a years time.
I have had a problems paying my mortgage and I think it may get repossessed next month, and I could get a Count Court Judgement.
Please can someone tell me if getting a County Court Judgement against me will affect her next visa application in a year?
Also if I was made bankcrupt would this effect the application?
Please help
Thank you
James

No, neither should affect her application as long as you/she continues to meet the income requirement assuming she is on a spouse visa and applying for extension on FLR(M).

Marriage visa is often known as a marriage visitor visa to only marry in the UK, so if you could clarify your spouse's status please.

Thank you CR001,

Yes sorry it is a spouse visa, I married her in Africa before she came over.

The income requirement of £18,600 is that between both of us now, before she came over it was just me who required the income requirement. Can say I earn £12,000 and she earns £10,000 which would be over threshold, she is in UK with me now in full time job but we are not earning much, I am only earning £12,000 a year?
Many many thanks if you can reply to this as this is so important

No problem. You can combine your income.
