27 month spouse visa issued in October 2013 ILR requirments.

Dear friends, 27 months spouse visa issued me from India and I entered the UK 1st November on spouse visa, what to do now, I have all documents ready and even started my own business which is very successful.
I'm eligible for ILR or extension, because as per solicitor advise I have to apply ILR, as per him if visa is 27th month it mean you can apply for ILR and use form SET-M.
What will be the better way by post or premium service same day....please advise if any one of you have experience...
Because I'm going to apply in December or January 1st week, or someone tell me which is the best time to apply...

When did you apply for your visa (exact date)?
