Passport & Visa for new born Indian Baby

Post by shobhit_bbd » Tue Dec 01, 2015 1:22 pm

Hello all,

I am here in UK on TIER 2 ICT (Short term) and having a new born baby in this November'15. My VISA will expire on April'2016.

I want to know about the procedure to make my baby's passport. And how can I enroll baby with my VISA.

I understand OCI card is valid for person who are living here in UK with UK nationality but originally from India.

Because we both are having Indian passport and Indian citizenship so our baby don't need OCI.

So please correct me if I am wrong and explain us the correct procedure.

Apply for Indian passport and once you have that, apply for Tier 2 ICT dependent visa.

Is the child in UK or outside UK?

Child is in UK and born in UK. I am on ICT TIER 2 (Short Term) and my wife is on dependent VISA in same category.

I talked to VFS they told me to submit application at British Embassy for VISA. But I don't know about the process, how to start and where I can get this link.

If the child is in the UK, apply for Tier 2 ICT visa at premium service centre or apply using the online form. See PBS Dependent Child (click). See also Tier 2 ICT Family Members (click)

You only apply at VFS/British High Commission if your child is OUTSIDE the UK.
