Have you read the AN guide and AN booklet? It gives all the advice on filling the form. It makes no difference which NCS you apply through, you need to complete the paperwork according to the guidance and your circumstances.

I'd agree with what CR009 has mentioned in terms of the guidance provided with the AN form. Read the guide and booklet before you fill the form & also while filling it, if you come across a question where you need clarification. And if it's not answered you can come back to this forum, which has a wealth of information.

I've responded to your post on the pilot scheme, under the other topic, with some differences on how to fill the passport form, if applying through the pilot scheme.

Note that I did nothing different when it comes to the AN application itself. Just chose a professional referee that met both the requirements of the AN form as well as the passport form.

While many councils offer the NCS service, not many yet offer the passport checking service which is being piloted to understand how effective & popular it is. That was just from a casual conversation I had with the NCS advisor on the day of my appointment. Looking at the November timeline topic I did notice that those who applied through Brent had their acknowledge, biometrics & fees deducted within a week of submission - while that appears to be quicker than standard, it's not sufficient a number to establish a definitive SLA on home office processing of pilot scheme based applications. I'll be watching this space to see how they progress.

I found the Brent council service helpful & efficient and would recommend them, if the location is convenient.
