Getting Passport Back whilst ILR is considered

Getting Passport Back whilst ILR is considered

Need advice. I submitted an ILR application via same day service at PEO Cardiff. Currently perform services to a client based overseas. I thought the passport will be given back to me on the same day by paying for premium service. Was told that they need refer to senior and check other government departments (HMRC specifically as I am trading via a limited company).

I was told by caseworker that the only way to get my passport back is withdraw the application - in that case I will not get back a single cents of the fees paid.

My question for seniors here is if there is any way that I can get my passport back for overseas business travel whilst they can consider the case.

Thank you very much. It is just frustrating.
In one of the posts there seems to have a risky option. If I report to the embassy that i have lost passport and request a temp travel document, how does that sound?
