Tier-2 General Extension 2 years early

Post by nesa246 » Sat Dec 19, 2015 2:11 pm

Hello Everyone,

I am holding Tier 2 General visa valid up to Feb 2018, I am currently in 3 years visa, Now my company is ready to extended my visa for another 2/3/5 years, If I get the COS for 2/3/5 years will I be able to apply for extension.

My company/myself don't know whats the procedure, the reason why we wanted to do because UKBA might change the rules anytime, don't want to be in such a situation.

If there is a possibility for me to get Visa extended then how many years I need to get COS from my company.
Note I will be eligible for ILR in Feb 2020.

Please kindly anyone reply me, let me know if you need more information.

If you apply now for an extension (too early) then the visa is not post dated from when you current visa expires. It will be valid from date of issue, so if you apply in February 2016, that is when it will be valid from.

You only need to apply closer to the expiry of your visa for an extension
