UK Dependent visa and Visitor visa

Post by satish79 » Sun Jan 03, 2016 8:25 pm

Dear All,

Wishing you all very happy new to you and your family.

I just started collecting the details to bring my family to UK as my dependent.
Right now am staying in one of my relatives house hence no tenacy agreement and rent.

Do I need to rent a house and get the tenacy agreement only then I can start apply for them?
Also, I am planning to apply visitor visa for my parents so that my wife and kids may enter as my dependents and my parents as visitors[for 3 months] considering my situation the tenacy agreement is mandatory?

I saw in other posts given that its optional but I cant take that as a risk if it may be required in my case.

Could someone please clarify my query ASAP?

Regards,
Satish.

Tenancy agreement is not a mandatory document. It's optional one.

For visitor visa as well, its not listed as a mandatory document.

Agree with moonlight55, but you do have to meet the requirement for both visa that the accommodation will not be overcrowded, which it seems it will be given that you want to apply for both visa almost at the same time.

Agree with CR001. That's why you would see folks submitting tenancy agreements or local bank statements to strengthen their relative's visitor visa application to prove that space or expenses will not be an issue during their visit to UK.
