What have you got so far?

Is your husband from Egypt?

Hi Jen

Sorry to hear you've not had any news yet, but it will come and I am really hoping for you. My hubby will be here next Friday (15th) and Lu's is a few days after.

Still hasn't sunk in properly yet, and we're very excited.

I keep checking back to see if you've had news. I know yours wasn't quite the same as our applications as we had both applied same day at the same office (not submitted to the UK).

I will keep my fingers crossed for you but stay strong.

Hi Jen

Sorry you've not heard, it is awful waiting. Fingers crossed you get good news very soon. Thinking of you! It's such a journey but has helped talking to you guys on here.

Like Jules said it hasn't sunk in yet, it probably will when he is here and we're able to be a family. I get excited when my friends talk about it but it's still like a dream.

Speak soon
Lu

Hi Jen

I don't have any experience of this (or anyone I know - I asked around today), but from what I've read they just will ask you some straight-forward questions as his sponsor, maybe to confirm some details you provided in the application etc, where/how you met... I know it must be worrying but just give honest answers (only to what they ask you - don't go into more detail than required) and I'm sure you will be ok.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Hi Jen

I also do not have direct experience but someone I know says they ask lots of questions about each other. From where and when you met right through to what toothpaste you both use.

Wishing you the best of luck, I will have my fingers crossed that you will find out soon.

I'll be thinking of you

Hi,
Just a quick update had the interview yesterday and it went very well it was all basic questions re the application form nothing to worry about at all. It was actually a video call I'm guessing to the Sheffield office where they deal with applications. Feeling very positive hopefully we get our decision soon.

Hi jules,

I hate the fact it's Friday and now have to wait all weekend lol, it's got to go from Sheffield back to tunis. Hoping it will be there Monday. Have also been reading that if the health surcharge hasn't been refunded that's a good sign. But all we can do is wait now.

Hope you are all well
