IHS payment, again if changing Tier 2 CoS!?

Post by ksadoc » Thu Jan 14, 2016 1:07 pm

Hi all

I had applied for Tier 2 CoS for upto 3 yrs category Aug 2015 (CoS Valid until Auf 2017) and paid IHS (immigration health surcharge) of 500 GBP.

Now, i am changing my job and have another CoS and that will be valid from March 2016- March 2017.
When i apply for new Tier 2 CoS, will i have to pay again IHS, which should not be the case. Because already have paid previously IHS and it covers until Aug 2017.

Anyone who is or has made similar application, did they have to pay again or does it get refunded?
Thanks

If you are applying for a new Tier 2 G with a new sponsor, you will have to pay the IHS fee again. IHS fee has to be paid for each application you make.

Thanks, but this is so very exploiting. If one has paid for upto 3 yrs, again they are robbing the applicant. Just another way of earning!

It is not HO's choice that you change sponsor so soon. You might get a refund, you might not.
