ICT TIER2 (Short Term) to TIER 2(General)

Hello Experts,
I am ICT Tier2 (Short term Visa-1YEAR).I want to change my job here in UK
Can you please guide.
Should I find some one who sponsors Tier2 General visa?Need your guidance.

For changing job you will need to serve a cooling off period starting the day you left UK or the end date of your ICT visa whichever comes earlier. You will need to spend 12 months outside UK before coming back to UK for another job.

There is no way I can change a job is it then?

So without Cooling period I cannot Change right?
Which means if I get a job offer from some company in UK I cannot change right?

Correct yes. You can apply for a Tier 2 General once you have been out of the UK for 12 months.

You can apply in other categories, such a spouse visa if you have a British spouse or spouse who has ILR, but the routes you can change to are very limited and are not points based system.

Hi,

I am currently on Tier2 ICT long term, i Initially came in 2013 in ICT Short term, went back to India, got the visa renewed by upscalling my Salary to a limit of Tier2 ICT Long Term in June 2014.

Since, then i am working on Tier 2 ICT long term and statying with my Family. However, i would like to know if i can swtich my VISA without cooling period of 12 months for my self.

If the answer is NO then can i switch my Dependents VISA to Tier 2 Genral or even she has to go through a cooling period and if, this is through cooling period then what's the time limit for the dependent is this year or SIX months.

You as a main applicant are subjected to cooling off period of 12 months, but not the dependent.
Dependent can apply for Tier2 G from her/his home country. Dependent needs a RCOS from a potential employer who has followed the process properly and successfully completed RLMT if the job does not come under shortage occupation list and salary is less than £155,300/-
