Spouse of BC - Travel to Greece

Post by Liviana » Mon Jan 18, 2016 1:29 pm

Hi,

I am not sure whether this is the right way to post or asking about EEA form.
So I apologised if it is not the correct way.

I just need to ask whether anyone has ever attempted to apply for residence permit card (which states Family member of EEA National/British citizen).

Currently my status is a spouse of British citizen who has a ILR and residence card (I am a Non-EEA national)
We've been looking to travel to Greece and the embassy states that if I have the Permit card with the family member etc. information on I am not required to apply the visa to the Embassy. (My permit card just has the expiry date and name and that is it!) Although it is free of charge to apply the Visa and I can pop-in without making an appointment, I live pretty far from London! It just a hassle and quite costly on the transport.

So, can I actually apply an EEA permit ( which is £65 ) and that means I have 2 permit cards?? I have contacted Home Office and received a reply with the links for me to read the information myself, but I just need someone to reassure whether it is possible for me to do?

Thank you for reading :o and hope anyone can help!!
x, Liv

No you cannot apply for an EEA FP as your British husband is not an EU spouse exercising treating rights in his own country of nationality. You are under the UK immigration rules not the EEA/EU rules.
