Change Visa Category: Tier2 ICT to Tier 2 General

Post by narass » Thu Jan 21, 2016 5:42 pm

Please could you help me with your inputs on below scenario

Currently I am on Tier 2 ICT visa since 02082010 without any breaks in between with same company/sponsor. My Current visa end date is 14Mar2016

I have decided to move to Tier2 General visa & accepted the job offer from the new sponsor and agree the new COS starting date as 17Feb2016. (Note : I am yet to submit application to UKBA for new job )

Query : Current visa end date with current sponsor is 14Mar2016 , whereas my new T2G via start date is 17Feb2016 . Seems like there will be an overlap of two visa in this case.

Do I/current employer need to take any steps to withdraw/cancel my current sponsorship/visa before the new one is active.

Appreciate your prompt responses on various queries. Really helpful for people.

Did you apply and was your Tier 2 ICT issued before 6th April 2010?

You might b subject to the cooling off period of 12 months before you can apply for Tier 2 General.
