Supporting Documents - Help Needed

Hello,

I'm new to this site and was hoping someone could offer some help regarding the supporting documents for my wife's visa application.

We're both living in South Korea at the minute (my wife is Korean) and we are going to apply using our savings in the UK. I've had most of the savings for a few years, but only reached the required amount on August 18th 2015.

I have 2 questions:

1: Proof of savings
Do you need to provide bank statements up to the application date, or just full monthly statements up until the previous month before application? For example, we'd like to apply on February 19th (as we will have had enough savings for 6 months prior to this date), will bank statements for August 2015 - January 2016 be enough, or do we also need a half month statement for February?

2: Proof of accommodation
We'll be staying with my parents for a couple of months when we arrive, their house meets the size requirements. My question is about the proof needed. I have a letter from my parents and they have emailed me the required documents but I'm worried if we just print them out they won't be accepted. Do they need to be official copies?

1. 6 months including as recent as possible and the most recent must not be older than 28 days.

2. Letter from parents, title deeds or mortgage statement, council tax bill, passport copies.

You need the February statement as well definitely.

Can the title deeds and council tax be copies?

The title deeds can be downloaded from the Gov.uk Land Registry site. Council Tax bill should be original.

I have seen on other forums that a property inspection is advised if you are sharing with others.

It depends when in February you are applying as to whether you should include the February bank statement. As CR001 says, it must be no older than 28 days on the day of your application. You must provide 6 months of original bank statements unless they are stamped by the bank or accompanied by an official bank letter verifying account details etc.
