Use of PayPal for tracking income

Post by andrewb » Tue Jan 26, 2016 7:28 pm

I am a self-employed Web designer/coder. I work for multiple companies across the world and half of my monthly income is generated in the US and Australia. These companies pay me via paypal, which I then transfer to my bank account - I have printed copies of the entire transaction from payment received, payments paid on the transaction, currency conversion and payment into my UK bank account.

The lawyer that I hired 4 months ago has only now informed me that this might not be accepted as proof of income. Which is a pain in the arse because I haven't seen my wife in over 4 months now. Is he wrong?

If you have 'accounts' and self assessments showing income and tax paid then you might be able to use it.

Not yet I don't because I have only just moved back to the UK.
