I am not sure if I am posting under the right section but I hope someone sees this....I am American and was just studying in the UK under a Tier 4 visa...I then left the UK for 10 days to travel and came back to the UK to visit my boyfriend. I entered as a General visitor. I showed my plane ticket for leaving 4 weeks upon entering. I wanted to change my plane ticket for 2 more weeks(my boyfriend can't travel until then because of work), so that will be a total of 6 weeks in the UK. I know a general visa permits me 6 months in the UK BUT do you think because I already showed the immigration officer my return ticket of a different date that matters? Or do you think I am going to be okay?

I have moved your post to the appropriate section of the forum.
You should be ok for a couple of weeks.

Hi I apologize if you are reading this twice...it's only my second time on this site! I updated my worry.
I am American and was just studying in the UK under a Tier 4 visa...I then left the UK for 10 days to travel and came back to the UK to visit my boyfriend. I entered as a General visitor, my stamp says "Leave to enter for six months employment and recourse to public funds prohibited." After the border officer interrogated me for 15 minutes on my intentions she let me in. I showed my plane ticket for leaving 4 weeks upon entering.
Now I have three questions..
1)I wanted to change my plane ticket for 2-3 more weeks(my boyfriend can't travel until then because of work), so that will be a total of 6-7 weeks in the UK. I know a general visa permits me 6 months in the UK BUT do you think because I already showed the immigration officer my return ticket of a different date that matters? Or do you think I am going to be okay?
2) If I plan to travel to a few places in Europe for a few days during this time, do you think I will have problems when I try to re enter the UK? Or am i golden because I already have that visitor stamp?
3) Does anyone know if my 90 days travelling in the Schengen area also starts from the date of my visitor visa in the UK OR are those seperate days I should count all together?

3) UK is not in the
Schengen area - so your date of entry into UK has no bearing on any dates/timelimits for your European adventure.

Can you please stop posting your questions in the Tier 1 General Forum, your queries have no relevance to the Tier 1 General visas. Also please keep all your questions in the topic you already have (i.e. this one), which I have moved to
General Immigration Forum.

And I did respond originally that I had moved it.
