Leaving the country - What do I need to do?

I am going to leave the UK as I got a job in Berlin.
I am currently in a Tier 2 visa, do I need to do anything ? Tell the police I am leaving? De-register my visa somehow? people at my current company don't know...

Resign, pack up and go. Nothing more than that. Your visa will be cancelled once your employer notifies HO when you have left the company.
