FLR(M) question about personal care

Post by Dantean » Tue Feb 02, 2016 5:40 pm

The current version of FLR-M has the following question in the "Additional Questions" section.
6.34 Do you, or your sponsor have any physical or mental condition(s) which currently requires personal care or medical assistance at home or do you have any learning difficulties?
Yes [ ] No [ ]
If yes, please provide details below
Does anyone know why this question is asked? And what kind and level of details the are asking for? (i.e. just a bare summary, or more detailed medical history?)

The applicant, in the UK on dependant visa, does require personal care. Is that likely to bias the application?

HO will not and cannot discriminate against an applicant due to disability or medical conditions.

Thanks CR001

Do you know why they ask the question?

Would it support the application if one spouse relies on the other for personal care or medical assistance? (because refusing it might risk depriving a person of their main carer?)
