Is my role on Short occupation list

I am a software engineer who had received Tier 2 last time in 2011 using code 2136.

Recently Government added some description to code 2136 in Short occupation list, it says,

Senior developer employed by a qualifying company, where the job requires a person with a minimum of five
years’ relevant experience and demonstrable experience of having led a team

My company seems to be qualifying, and I will have 4 years and 8 months experience at the time of applying for this company I am working for, and some previous app development experience at my university which is more then 6 months but less then a year.

My Questions

1) Should I apply as my job in short occupation list - as I will have to count my final year project as experience as well ? my company is thinking about making me technical lead for a project (so I will have some experience as project lead)

2) If my company makes me technical lead or project lead, but I still be doing my core duties as described in code 2136, then is it okay ? as a tech lead some people will be working under me but managed by product manager

Simple answer - you do not qualify under shortage occupation rules. 5 years is 5 years not 4 years and 8 months....

Yes, thats right. I will be applying for extension. I have more then 5 years experience it was just not with same employer.

So if i apply in same code but under short occupation list and also get an extension then,

If HO removes this role from short occupation list, then do i have to apply again regardless of having visa for another 2 years.

It is a simple extension of your current visa with your current sponsor.
The change of the SOL is meaningless in your circumstances.

You are going to extend your visa in the normal fashion, there is no need to conduct a RLMT.
