Changing Tier 2 sponsors while applying for a license

Hello,

I'm currently on a Tier 2 that expires in Mar 2017. I will be serving notice period up until end February or March - yet to be determined.

My new employer is currently in the process of applying for a sponsorship license in order to sponsor me. I remember reading in the past that you can apply for a fresh Tier 2 at the same time as applying for the license, and can provide proof to show that your new employer is already applying. However, I am now unable to find the article/thread that mentioned this so I thought I would ask again. Does anyone have any information on this?

Your new employer also has to complete the full and proper RLMT process.
