Can USA company apply to sponsor Tier 2 migrants?

According to the eligibility rules https://www.gov.uk/uk-visa-sponsorship- ... ligibility there is nothing specific to where the company applying to be a sponsor should be registered. Does it mean that company registered in the USA can apply to become Tier 2 migrant sponsor in the UK?

Company itself - no, but the USA company is owned, in fact, by UK company, which indeed has office in the UK. Does it help?

Does either of them appear on the approved Tier 2 sponsor list?

Unlikely that a USA company can sponsor a Tier 2 G. The parent (UK) company probably could.
