Referre in holiday,citizenship application not decision yet?

my housband applied British citizenship application in May 2015.He did not recieve any decision yet.But who signed as a his referre in his application,this person is in holiday since last three months.Now my husband is very worried about consequence of his application.Is there any advise for him.What he shoud do now.please advice.thanks.

HO do not usually contact referees.

Has your husband contacted his local MP for assistance to chase HO?

thanks for your reply.He did not yet he will contact our local MP. It is good to hear that homeoffice don't usally contact referre.But unfortunately and if he is unlucky, homeoffice try to contact his referre after nine months what will consquence his application? thats why he is worried.

If HO faces any problem with a referee they may contact you to nominate another.
That is in the unusual case that they actually contact a referee.
