ILR application Lots of EU travel for work

Post by shiney » Tue Feb 16, 2016 3:07 pm

Hi,

Apologies for hijacking this thread, as i have a query on similar lines hence thought of posting in the same thread rather than creating a new one.

As i am consultant on Tier 2 visa, I am also travelling a lot for company projects. In one of the year i have been travelling to Amsterdam every week (i.e. from Monday to Friday). As this was for companys work and i have been paying my taxes in UK can this be debated?

Additionally If i am flying on Monday morning and returning back on Friday evening does this two days count in 180 days ?(i.e. for a week will 5 days be counted or only 3 days will be considered to add up to 180)

Regards,
Shiney

I have moved your thread to its own topic.

You do not count the day of departure and arriving back in the UK. You only count whole days out of the UK.

The 180 days is ALL travel out of the UK.
As i am consultant on Tier 2 visa
Are you an employee with a company or a consultant? What exactly do you mean by consultant?
