ADVICE ON FLR

Hi everyone,
I just want to find out about my visa when i can apply,which runs out 27th of May. Am on a spousal Visa and finding it real hard to know where to start and what to do. My Partner has recently started claiming benefit and my visa says no recourse to public funds. Could this affect my FLR application? She was recently on Maternity leave and has been on low income while my income for the year is just about £14,500 and her is about £5400. Another issue here is my account has always been on OD but i have managed to retore it back to nomarl even though we both have no extra savings as all goes on bills. She's a British citizen with our 2 kids while am still on the first 2,5yrs visa. Can someone please advice on what to do please. I also will appreciate an advice on when to apply as i have enough funds for the application right now.

You should apply for an extension on FLR(M) within 28 days of your visa expiring. Not sure if you were originally granted a 33 month visa as if you were and you entered shortly after receiving your visa, you might want to apply before 6th April as the visa fee is going up by 25%.

Thank you for the clear info. I have just calculated the visa validity which was issued on the 27/08/2013, Valid until 27/05/2016 which makes it 33months. I came into the UK 22/09/2013. I am a Nigerian.
Can i still apply before 6th April? Am planning on applying through the Premium Services which requires me to make all payment through the home office page. When is it adviceable for me to start with the application? what and what must be present? how much money am I supposed to have as my account balance? I will appreciate more advice on this PLEASE. Thank you.

You should be fine to apply before the fee increases on 6th April as you entered the UK early enough.

You need to meet ALL the same requirements as you did when you applied for your first visa, i.e. English A1 and the financial requirement.

Current visa fee is £1049 for an same day appointment. You also have to pay the £500 immigration health surcharge.

There is no requirement to have a minimum account balance but you or your spouse must meet the financial requirement of £18,600pa income.

You also need to submit 2 years worth of cohabitation documents from different sources in either joint names or individual names.

Finally I got it. i went there with my partner and they never did ask me anything. They called me in after 2hours and asked for my employer to confirm my employment with them. He wrote back with the requested letter and same day they send the Biometric Card. Thank you and bless you.
