Need opinions.. Citizenship application

Post by tan383 » Tue Feb 23, 2016 8:43 pm

Hi all

I applied for naturalisation in October and still awaiting decision. My criteria was 5yrs tier 2 dependant + 2.5 yrs ilr.

While I was on t2 dependant visa, in 2009 I made my own independent T2 general application, however that was rejected as bank statement didn't have bank stamp i.e. points not met for maintenance.

I continued on t2 dependant and have had successful extensions after that and an ilr as well.

I wanted to understand will my t2 general rejection affect my naturalisation application?

Thanks in advance

No it won't as you still had leave as a dependent based on the limited information you have provided.

You will need to be patient. Some people are still waiting from Feb and May 2014

Thanks a lot - that will keep my mind at rest now.

Yes, its just 4 months down - but there are lots of thoughts that run through your mind while the wait is on.
