Dear All,
I am currently working in the UK on a Tier 2 visa, however, mean while my stay in the UK I was doing my PhD. Finally my PhD has come to an end and I am supposed to graduate (if I pass my examination) in July. I would like my parents to attend my Graduation Ceremony, and therefore they require a visa. My parents have a good financial status and they are residents in UAE (Emirates), however, my parents are Syrian nationals and because of the on-going civil war in Syria and the consequencing Asylum seekers crisis in the Europe my parents have a little chance to get their visa approved to come and visit the UK eventhough they are resident of Emirates for the last 20years .
To improve their chances to get their visa application approved I am thinking of writing a letter to the UKVI, in which I will state that the reason for my parents' visit is to attend my graduation ceremony and they will be staying in a hotel (as I have a small flate) and they will be finanicially dependent on themselves. Also I am thinking of stating that I am responsible for ensuring their return to their country of residency (Emirates) and I am happy to provide any financial assurances that the UKVI request. I will attach a copy of employement letter and payslips
So I am wondering if the letter is a wise thing to do ? or it will make matters worse ?
Looking forward to hearing your opinions
