Changing from Tier 2 ICT Long Term to Tier 2 General

Hi there,

I came to UK on Tier 2 ICT Long Term visa in Dec 2011 and got my first stamped in Sept 20111. I am now at my fifth year in UK which will end in Nov 2016.

I have got 13 years of work experience and work as Software Test Manager. I would like to stay longer/get ILR in UK. Is there any possibilities to get any visa in UK (Tier 2 General or any other category or short skills category)?

Also, i have heard that if a local company has a job requirement which is 30 days old and if they can't find local candidate then company can hire foreign national for that vacancy. Am i eligible for that and stay in UK on tier 2 General category?

Appreciate if you can guide.

A 12 month cooling off period in your home country before you can apply to return on a Tier 2 General if you can get an approved sponsor.
