Child benefit impact on parent’s naturalisation

Post by tiredoftiers » Sun Mar 20, 2016 9:40 am

A person being on Tier 1 entrepreneur visa brought her husband over to UK on dependent visa in March 2015.

Said person applied (on her own) successfully for ILR based up on Long Residency in May 2015. Couple had their baby boy born in Jan 2016 and they applied for British passport for their child and got it.

Said person with ILR is preparing to apply for naturalisation in May 2016, any impact on her naturalisation application if she applies or recourse child benefit?

No impact as a person on ILR is allowed to claim benefit.

Child benefit in ILR person name only. Child tax credits in JOINT names with the spouse.
