Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 Dependent

Post by blueice8549 » Thu Mar 24, 2016 9:55 am

My Friend is currently working in UK (Tier 2 General) and his wife is currently working out of UK. His wife is willing to come to UK through Tier 2 (ICT) not as a Tier 2 Dependent.

But in the future, can his wife can switch to Tier 2 Dependent VISA inside UK without Cooling Period ? – Means changing from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 Dependent inside UK?

And also my friend will be applying ILR in two years, will there be any problems in this?

Thanks

Not an issue and yes she can switch without cooling off period. Why does she not want to apply as Tier 2 G Dep now?

No problem. If wife is on Tier 2 G dependent at that time, she can continue to extend her visa till she reaches 5 years residence as dependent to apply for ILR.

Hi CR001,

Thanks for quick response. :D

"Not an issue and yes she can switch without cooling off period. Why does she not want to apply as Tier 2 G Dep now?"

She has the job, She doesn't want to leave this for few more more months. Because of work commitment she want to come to UK and continue the work for some more months and then she may plan to switch.

Thanks
