Expiring passport

Hello,

My case is the following, I'm currently studying in the UK with a Tier 4 visa on a Venezuelan Passport. In two weeks I'll be travelling to Spain and just realized that my passport is going to expire soon after I come back. I've read in one place that I'd be denied the exit from the UK.

I'll be coming back to the UK on April 24th and the passport is expiring on the 2nd of May.
When booking my flight to go to Spain I did it with my other passport (Colombian) which will expire on 2020.

I know that I have to apply for a BRP, but if I do it now I wouldn't be able to travel because of the time that it will take, additionally I've had a look at the premium appointments and there are no slots available until three weeks.

Will there be any problem?

I'm not sure you would be denied exit from the UK, I don't believe that proper exit checks are even conducted at the UK border at the moment.

Is there any chance you can renew your passport before you leave for Spain? I applied for a passport at my country's embassy in London, and received the new passport in week, and that wasn't even using the fast track service.

When do you leave for Spain? Is there any chance you can renew your passport before then?

Already checked, with the current awful situation of my beautiful home country it would take at least 4 months and up to 9. I'm leaving on the 16th.

Your passport needs to be valid on entry. There is no requirement to have X amount of months validity.
