ILR for Tier 2 Dependent

Post by pjma » Sat Apr 02, 2016 10:23 pm

Hi all,

I am on a tier 2 employee sponsored visa. My salary above the level required for ILR under the new rules (£60000). My wife is a dependent on my visa, and is employed, but her salary is £33000, and will likely remain at that level until 2020. We received our visas in 2015.

Will my wife be able to obtain ILR in 2020, despite the fact that she is below the required salary level? From other threads on this forum, it sounds like she will be?

Dependents are not required to meet the salary requirement. It is only the main applicant that has to. Your wife can be a stay at home wife for the full 5 years and still apply for ILR as a PBS dependent.
