CR001 wrote:No, you can't. A spouse settlement visa is a new visa application with a completely different set of rules and requirement. You cannot exchange a visitor visa for a different visa.
You cannot switch to any other visa category within the UK while on a visitor visa.

So next question.. On the Visa website it says we should apply for 'join family living permanently in the UK' but we're all living in the middle east-where I am working and have been for the last 6 years. Is this the correct Visa for us to apply for, if we all want to return together and remain in the UK please? Yes, it is the correct one. VAF4A form.
I have sufficient savings and a job to go to that more than meets the financial requirements. Are your savings £62,500 or more and been held for at least 6 months?
My wife speaks English perfectly She still needs the A1 English test from an approved test provider. and we will pay the calculated amount required for NHS healthcare It will be £600 for the surcharge. The big query is, which is the correct Visa based on our needs.
Thanks again...
