I thought about that possibility too, but then I thought about it again... I clearly mentioned being on ILR status and that I was very confused by her insistence that I should need to provide proof of earnings, since my understanding was that my ILR status meant my daughter gained BC automatically and was not subject to any further tests. So the question remains: Why would I have ILR if I was an EU citizen? She failed to grasp that, so I don't think it was simply that she confused Australia and Austria.
