I've searched through the forum and can't seem to find a similar question/response, but apologies nonetheless if this question is daft!
I am a Canadian in the UK on a Tier 2 General visa since July 1, 2013 (due to expire July 2016). I just applied and was granted an extension until June of 2019. However, because my employer had put down on the CoS an end date of 5 years in the future, I decided to apply and pay for an extension of greater than 3 years although I knew that that entire period would not be granted due to reaching the maximum 6 years for a Tier 2 visa. I was just worried that the application would be delayed/refused if there were inconsistencies between my application and the CoS.
I understand that the health surcharge will be automatically refunded because I received less time than I applied for. However, is there any chance that the visa fee itself would be partially refunded since I paid for an application of greater than 3 years but received less?
Many thanks in advance!
