Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General Dependent to Tier 2 General

Can you please answer my following questions:
My husband is currently on tier 2 ICT and I am on tier 2 general. I understand he can switch to tier 2 General dependent.
Can he switch to Tier 2 General after that? How long before he can make this switch? Is it 12 months?

Is there any issue in this process as i havent heard many people doing that?

Also,
What are the rules on full time studying out of UK on tier 2 general visa if my employer(Who sponsored the visa) supports it and i am not leaving the job only on Leave of Absence for a certain period of time?

Yes, he can switch to Tier 2 G dependent. He will have to wait exactly 12 months on dependent visa before he can apply for his own Tier 2 G from home country. Each switch will reset his clock towards ILR.
