Urgent: Premium service Appointment on Monday

Post by royabbas455 » Wed Apr 20, 2016 11:12 am

HI All

Please help me out with my 2 questions below. I have been struggling with these questions and UKBA helpline and solicitors have been giving completely different answers. Please see below

I am applying for my wifes first flrm on Monday through premium appointment. I am using my self-employment for the purpose of financial requirement.

I started self-employment in December 2015 and made £27500 after expenses in four months until the end of march 2016. I have done my tax returns for 2015-2016 and my taxable income is 27500. I am still self employed.

1) Is the above income enough for flrm?

2) The requirement says we need to submit 12 month bank statement. I don’t understand this point because I only started self employment in December 2015 and money only came in my account in those months from December 2015 to march 2016. Why do then I have to submit 12 month bank statements. Please advise

If self employed you need to show 12 months income.

Hi

Thanks for your reply

But I did not work for 12 months in the last full financial year.

I only worked 4 months in the last full financial tax year and made 27500

Am I ok to complete the requirements?

Then you don't meet the requirements.

The guidance clearly states "last full financial year"

This link explains what that means http://1st4immigration-visas.blogspot.c ... ncome.html

Can you please check this

please can anyone help me with this statement below:

is it correct? please let me know

Does one have to be self-employed for a ‘full’ financial year? No, ‘full’ refers to the documents covering a financial year rather than a person working for a full year. With limited companies it would be an accounting year. However, in case of a Sole Trader or Partner he/she needs to show their tax returns showing earnings from self-employment being minimum £18,600 in the respective tax year, regardless of when during the tax year he/she started self-employment. For example, if a person registered as self-employed in August then his/her tax return would still be up to 5 April next year. If that tax return shows earnings of £18,600 from August to 5 April then it would be OK for a visa – since the person managed to earn £18,600 during the period August – 5 April.

Full means exactly that - full 12 months. Your documents also have to cover the full 12 months.

What were you doing before being self employed?

Thanks for your reply

I have documents that cover the period from april 6th 2015 to april 6th 2016. I have tax returns documents for this period including certified unaudited accounts provided by the accountant for this period.

Before july 2015, I had 2 part time jobs covering the period from may 2015 to june 2015. I only made 1600 pounds in these 2 part time jobs. Then the self-employment started in july and I am still in self employment.

I thought full meant documents covering the full financial year rather than person working for exactly twelve months. I only registered for self employment in july 2015.

Please see this link below

Here on this forum someone had a similar issue as mine and they were advised that they would be ok

My urgent case - please help

Post by royabbas455 » Thu Apr 21, 2016 2:07 pm

ok let me now give you my details in full.

i would be extremely grateful if you please advise me whether or not income is ok for flrm and which route shall we take.

husband has ilr:

Tax year 2015-2016:

he was unemployed in April 2015. From may 2015 till end of june 2015, he had two part time jobs and he made 1600 pounds from them. from july 2015 onwards, he left those part time jobs and went into self employment and made 30,000 till the end of tax year 2015-2016. he still is in self employment.

Wife is on appeal for a rejected flr fp application and idea is to withdraw this appeal before the hearing date and apply for fresh flrm.

wife job:

she started working on a 15000 a year job in November 2015. however in april 2016 her salary has been increased to 19000.

do we have a chance now if we apply for the wife in mid of May 2016.

is there any route possible to meet the income requirement?
