Switching from Tier-2 General to Dependent. Need Guidance!!!

Post by Ppihu » Fri Aug 26, 2016 11:44 am

Hi All,

I was on Tier-2 General and my company licence got revoked and they have appeared in the court for the case. But in the meantime, my wife got Tier-2 General and I have applied for dependent visa through her company.
So can I inform my company about it and get rid of it. Or do I need to give any notice to them even after their licence got revoked.
As I have read that if we applied for another visa within uk then your visa status gets preserved. Is it true?

Looking forward for your help.

Thank you.

Whether you have to give notice and how much depends on your employment contract so it's not an immigration question but something you need to discuss with your boss.

If you have been granted a PBS dependent visa, your previous Tier 2 will have been cancelled. You should update your employer of your new visa status.
