If you appeal, it will take some time, and under the para that was quoted in the refusal notice, it's a perfectly straightforward refusal, you submitted a falsified document. Given that you supplied the same document to get the work permit, I find it hard to see how such an appeal could succeed.
The alternatives are to ask for a reconsideration of the existing application based on a genuine employer's letter, or submit a fresh application. But in either case logic suggests that the ECO would want to establish from Work Permits UK whether they still considered that their issue of a work permit was valid. I can't seem to access the relevant Procedures on the UKVisas website at the moment to see what the guidance is in such cases, and the work permit casework instructions on the BIA website don't seem to say anything about revoking WPs, so it's hard to be definitive.
You might need to get your UK employers to ask WPUK to confirm that based on revised info the WP is still valid, and proceed from there.
It's a cautionary tale, isn't it? - that taking advice from "unprofessional visa experts" or the companies that advertise "100% success" or "visa guaranteed" who then advise you to lie or submit false documents, is not a good idea.
