Start Date on Tier 2 General dependent Visa

Post by asrajarajan » Tue Feb 02, 2016 9:07 am

Hi,

I am from india. I applied along with my wife and kid for tier 2 General visa on 18th Jan. My CoS issued in January says the start date of work as 14th March 2016.

I see that the visa vignette on my daughter's and my passport starts on 14th march and is for 1month.

But my wife's visa vignette says the start date as 25th Jan and expires on 24th Feb.

The planned date of arrival in the application form for all 3 of us is mentioned as 14th march.

Can someone please confirm if this is a typo from UKVI and how do i get this addressed.

Thanks a lot for helping!!

Raj

It is an error. You need to contact them to get it corrected.

Thanks CR001,

There is no mention of how to get these corrected in any of the websites.

I emailed them about this through their email form present at www.ukvi-international.faq-help.com

I have also left the passport and the cover letter at the VFS.

Waiting for them to acknowledge and correct the same.

Thanks
Raj

If some one has already faced similar situation from india.

Please let know the correct procedure. No one seems to be aware of the procedure even at VFS.

Thanks

my spouse UK visa application appointment was on 23rd Sep 2016. and we have mentioned intended travel date as 20th Nov 2016 . we got visa and passport back on 07th Oct 2016 with mentioned visa validity 04-Oct-2016 to 03-Nov-2016...!!! ... is there any chance to chnage visa start date near to my intended travel date or any suggestion or process ...

My spouse is not in condition to travel in between visa startdate & enddate.

Many thanks in advance for any suggestion.
