ILR: English Language requirement for Doctors

Hi everyone,
I just want to ask a question regarding English language requirement for Doctors. I would appreciate if any one (esp Doctors) can answer it please.
My ILR is due next month (December 2016) I entered UK via PLAB exam route with Academic IELTS test and Tier 2 General visa.
Obviously IELTS would get expired in 2 years, I have renewed once my visa and I don't remember giving them my previous IELTS report, and once change of employer and new but same category Tier 2 visa, i did attach my IELTS report - same old one.
Now i am due ILR, do i need to have another English test like IELTS or my same IELTS remains valid for this purpose ? Or else i need to get that B1 level test ?
Previously some of our colleagues didn't need IELTS and they got through ILR but I want to have an updated view on this.

B1 level English from an UKVI approved test provider is mandatory, together with a pass in the Life in the UK test.

Approved English language qualifications
You can prove your knowledge of English by having a recognised English test qualification from an approved test centre.
You need to have a certificate to prove you have the qualification, or be able to view your results online.
You can only use English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) qualifications if they’re on the list. You can’t use other qualifications, eg GCSEs, A levels or National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).
If your qualification has run out

Some recognised test qualifications only last for 2 years. You can still use a B1 level qualification that you took more than 2 years ago in 2 situations.

Applying for citizenship

You can use a B1 level qualification that’s run out if you’re applying for citizenship and it was accepted when you settled in the UK.
It doesn’t matter if the B1 level test you took isn’t on the current list of recognised tests. You don’t need to take another test.

Applying to settle in the UK

You can use a B1 level qualification that’s run out if both of the following are true
1. it’s on the current list of recognised tests
2. it was accepted for another UK immigration application, eg when you got permission to enter

Since the OP used an IELTS to get the initial tier 2, wouldnt he/she be allowed to use the same test even though it has been over 2 years?

Not sure why you think Doctors are exempt, you are not. Everyone who is not from an exempt country, has to submit English B1 or NARIC ELA.
