OCI application - UK passport has XXX in given name

Background: No Given Names on British Passport

How should one fill-in the "surname" and "given name" fields in the online application form for OCI when there is "XXX" in the "given name" field in a UK passport?


Surrendered Indian passport:
Given Name: British Indian
Surname:

First UK Passport:
Given Name: XXX
Surname: British Indian




Should it be (as simple as) -
(Fill in OCI application as follows):
Given Name: XXX
Surname: British Indian

or something else?



Any OCIs with no surname in Indian passport and no given name in UK passport browsing this topic?

Sur Name : British Indian

Summery Again :
Indian Passport:
Given Name: British Indian
Surname:

British Passport:
Given Name: XXX

So in the end, how did the name in your OCI booklet appear? DID the XXX appear in your OCI booklet as well?

I am in a similar situation and want to know how people with no surname in Indian passport has subsequently got the british passport/OCI booklet.

Is the name in the OCI booklet based on the old indian passport or british passport?

I plan to get my first British passport soon with XXX in forename and full name in surname section. Later I plan to split the names and get a second passport through a deed poll.

Now can I apply for OCI with this second British passport....will this cause any problems for issue of OCI? Please let me know. I don't want XXX to appear on OCI.
