May be this message can give little peace for me and others. My wife's and children's application was rejected and we have appealed. It costed me hell lot of money. Am really frustrated with the rejection for no reason, without giving a chance to explain even after taking £1195 per person as application fees.

I know, all here are in same situation.

Anyway, i appealed online on 17th Nov. Yet to get any acknowledgement. Will keep posted....

Today received mail from Global Appeals - UKVI, Croydon. They have overturned the earlier decision. @waitingfornow, my IA10 notice was sent on 19th Jan. So you can expect some reply soon. But every case is different. Also, since the mail came from croydon, it seems they do the processing (at least initial screening) in UK.

Hello guys.... I am slightly confused with some terminology used in this forum.

I note that lots of replies here state "deadline to ECM" .... I have received the notice of pending appeal from the tribunal for my appeal...all it says on there is that the respondent has 28 days to respond with the reason and evidences.

my questions :

1. In my appeal notice the court has not mentioned that the respondent can withdraw their decision within x days.

2. ECO = Entry clearance officer...what is "ECM"?

3. The court has mentioned in the appeal notice that the process will take up to 15 weeks... my question is what is the significance of 15 weeks and what is the significance of 28 days.... I am confused.... also when does the 15 weeks wait begin?

oh GOD please help me........

Entry clearance Manager (ECM) has 28 days to respond from the day he receives the appeal bundle. 15 weeks is the time taken to send appeal to ECM + ECM's processing time + ECM sending their bundle back to Tribunal. In mean time ECM can overturn their original decision and send an email to appellant.

Can you please tell me if the date on your IA10 was 19th Jan 2017 ..or did u receive the notice on 19.

The date on our IA10 was 20 Jan 2017.

I'm really happy for u. Please keep us updated when you receive the call from visa application center for the passport submission

The letter was dated 19th. I received it couple of days later. Today i got email from Chennai asking us to submit passport and TB certificate. Also to fill a new application and pay IHS fees, but no visa fees.

Finally got the ukvi email today. They overturned their decision I'm so happy.

I appealed on 4th of November refused under 320(11) and got IA10 on 12th of December after that ninny updates is anybody on the same boat waiting for the hearing date . Pls share the experience.
