Switch from ICT Tier 2 Long Term to Tier 2 General

Hello,

I entered in UK in Sept 2014 on ICT Tier 2 Long Term (3 years) and working here since then without any break.
As now i am planning to switch to Tier 2 General, please can you advise if there is any way i can switch without serving the cooling off period.
I heard from some of my friends that as i have not completed my 5 years in UK, there would be a chance that i don't have to serve the cooling period to switch to Tier 2 General.
As per them, if i get any job offer and sponsorship of Tier 2 General, i just have to do a entry clearance in UK to start in new job.
Please can you get some more information on the same or pass information of any solicitor who can help me with it.

Please can you get some more information on the same or pass information of any solicitor who can help me with it. The rules are clear, there is no way to circumvent them.
