Good Evening,
Hopefully somebody can help me in reassuring my wife with regards to the return of supporting documents.
For a bit of backstory and context, we sent our supporting documents to UKVI in Sheffield on 30 March (special delivery), and the parcel was marked as delivered to UKVI on 31 March. We were contacted on the following Monday (03 March) stating that the pre-paid, self-addressed envelope we provided for the return of our documents was too small and that we'd need to promptly provide another. Another was provided the same day with a trackable postal service.
This evening the tracking number for the return package was updated, meaning that our documents are being returned. My wife has hit a frenzy and is suddenly assuming the worst that her application has been rejected (after only two days of it being marked as received; we haven't even had an email to state her application is being processed yet!!)
I'm assuming that our original and sensitive documents such as marriage certificates and birth certificates have been copied / scanned and are being returned to ensure they are not lost during the processing of her application. Has anyone here also had experience with a rapid return of documents, and was it a good or a bad thing?
Many thanks.
